An Unpleasant End to 2018

31st December 2018

Not a day to be out in the hills. Mild, wet and windy! What little snow that remains in Torridon and the North West continues to thaw and is becoming even more isolated and patchy.

A dark and unpleasant morning in Glen Torridon.

A veil of rain and cloud covering Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe.

A gloomy scene over Loch Clair and Coulin forest.

As good as it got. Cloud on Liathach and Beinn Eighe.

Surprisingly, the A’ Ghairbhe river – runs from Loch Clair through Kinlochewe – at ‘average’ level. Most burns and rivers will likely be higher tomorrow post heavy rainfall.
