Showers Continue

10th February 2018

Milder today as the overnight thaw (below 800 metres) continued through the morning with a diminishing snowpack at lower levels. Snowline around 500 metres. Showers persisted throughout the day and will continue through tomorrow with snow down to low levels.

Good snowcover remains at higher elevations on Liathach.

Obvious thaw at lower to mid elevations on the south Torridon/Achnashellach hills.

Significant cornice development above Coire an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe, on East aspects.

Spindrift at summit levels on Beinn Eighe as the wind strengthens ahead of an approaching heavy shower.
