Meall a’ Chaorainn, Achnasheen

26th January 2018

You know when you are over-prepared, you forget things. Well, I reached Kinlochewe this morning only to realise that I’d left my camera charging back home. Alas, no photos today! And what a beautiful morning with stunning 360 degree views (particularly of the Torridon hills) from a lovely little hill above Loch a Chroisg near Achnasheen. Good snow cover above 500 metres, but that pesky breakable crust still exists! Anyway, below is a photo of the Beinn Dearg hills above Loch Broom from Ullapool when I arrived back home!

The edge of thickening cloud ahead of a band of rain and snow spilling in from the West is evident in the afternoon.
