Spring

2nd April 2017

It was below zero on our higher summits early this morning but the day has turned warm and spring like although the wind was fresh and cooling. There has been a noticeable depletion in our snow pack and it seems that spring is here although we may get a very brief spell of lowereing temperatures and potentially some fresh snow on the tops  by mid-week, it will depend on where the high pressure decides to anchor itself.

A rather depleted snow pack!

Only small patches of snow remaining in Coire an Laoigh.

Definitely spring like!

Rivers turning into pools of silver, but then what else would one expect? It’s incredible Torridon after all!
