More of the Same

5th April 2017

Felt like a good day in summer – without the midges! The vast majority of the snow has gone with only odd patches and strips left at higher elevations. One can probably walk the mountains without setting foot on snow! Similar for tomorrow; cloudy with perhaps some drizzle, warm and the strong WSW airflow persisting in the hills. A bit colder air forecast for next week(Above) The usual view of Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe(Above) The usual view of Liathach from Glen Torridon(Above) Spot the snow on the south side of Beinn Eighe?(Above) The hills are getting busy leading up to Easter, plus the ‘NC500ers’ on the roads. Hmm….. Good to see footpath maintenance in action on the NTS property in Torridon. Step up SNH!(Above) South side of Liathach. If all else fails……..
