Very heavy rain, summit temperatures of plus 5 and extremely strong winds stripped most of the snow from the Torridon hills during Thursday night. Rivers were high in the morning but quickly dropped back as the temperature fell.

At the Kishorn to Applecross road junction is the Bealach Cafe and Gallery. During the winter it is open on Fridays and Saturdays. Great coffee, cakes and a roaring fire. Well worth a visit!
