Stripped Again!

2nd January 2016

Unexpected rainfall combined with the mild temperatures reduced the snowpack again to localised areas high up chiefly on north west to northerly aspects. An easterly airstream covers Scotland and we thought we’d be in the rainshadow – wrong! It was brighter further west. Colder tomorrow.

A dreich Liathach this morning.

Creag Dubh, Beinn Eighe. Cloud base clung around 600m in the eastern mountains.
